SHARE DESCRIPTIONS

• Veggie Share: Our farmers take deep pride in the quality of produce they grow, and each crop’s healthand vitality is taken into consideration as they plan and refine their cultivation techniques season after season, year after year. We strive to provide the best value of organic produce available in every produce share. We proudly source our produce from our member farmers here in Lancaster, PA. All produce boxes will include 6 to 8 items a week. Cold temperatures, snow, and hard frosts do not stop our farmers from bringing you the best varieties of local & regional, organic, winter-hardy vegetables. You can expect to see a weekly mix of the following items: Leeks, Cabbage, Celeriac, Carrots, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Mushrooms, Watercress, Spinach, Kale, Collards, Celery, Rutabagas, Turnips, Parsnips, Jerusalem Artichokes, Winter Squash, Pumpkins, Onions, Radicchio, Radishes, Beets, Herbs, and a wide variety of Lettuces.
  
  
• Egg Share: This ever-favorite share arrives by the dozen and can be ordered in multiple quantities. All of our eggs are gathered from chickens who are fully pastured and fed only Certified Organic, antibiotic-free, non-GMO, and hormone-free supplemental feed. Our chickens are never debeaked! Rather, they live walking around looking for bugs to eat. Of course, all LFFC Pastured eggs contain no GMOs, no antibiotics, and no added hormones!
  
  
• Cheese Share: Three varieties of cheese delivered on a bi-weekly basis. Our cheese will surely keep you smiling! We source the cheese for this share from local, artisanal cow, goat, and sheep farmers. Our dairy partners and member farmers pasture-raise all of their animals, which makes this share not only humane, but tasty, too! Many of the fresher cheese varieties are pasteurized, while most of the aged varieties are made with raw milk. From our aged sharp cheddars to creamy, savory chevres-you will be delighted with our cheese, which adds the perfect touch to any family meal, dinner party, or hors d’oeuvre platter.
  
  
• Meat Share: Finally, here is a meat share that won’t make you go buy a freezer to contain it all! Each week, you can expect butcher block favorites like roasts, ground meat, pork & bison, steaks, bacon, sausage, chops and more! When it comes to meat we take the same care in raising our cows and pigs as we do for our vegetables. The beef comes from cows that have been grass-fed and grass finished, while our pork comes from heritage breed hogs. Although you will see a higher percentage of beef and pork products, there will also be lamb, bison, turkey and chicken included as well. As always, our animals are fully-pastured with absolutely no added hormones, antibiotics, or GMOs! Approximately 3 lbs from 1-3 frozen items a week.
  
  
• Chicken Share: Delivered weekly, the chicken share is sure to please with a mix of organic and pastured chicken. Our pastured chickens spend their days pecking for insects and eating plants as they peruse their pastures, which arerotated frequently to optimize their nutrition and quality of life. Additionally, all LFFC chickens are hormone-free, antibiotic-free, GMO-free, and grass and non-GMO grain fed. You’ll see cuts such as breasts, legs, thighs, wings, and even whole birds. Approximately 3 lbs from 1-3 frozen items a week.
