Dick Hoffman has been at the school in one capacity or another since 1963. Currently he serves as a part-time archivist, a position created for him when he retired after 36 years of service. Dick started out as a teacher of 8th and 11th grade history. Over the next four decades, he worked in a variety of administrative posts, including director of junior high, associate headmaster, and college counselor, while always teaching at least one class in history or social studies.

Friends Select School’s roots extend back almost 325 years, to 1689. Dick Hoffman has been part of Friends Select School for 15 percent of its existence! Let’s gather together to share toasts and memories as we honor Dick Hoffman’s many contributions to Friends Select.
