The auction is Friends Select's largest fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the Annual Fund, which benefits every student and teacher. Your participation is crucial to our success. Last year’s event at the Academy of Natural Sciences raised nearly $64,000, $10,300 specifically for technology innovation for all three divisions. This year's event at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia is still being tallied.
At the live auction we made a concentrated effort to raise money for faculty professional development. More specifically to send teachers to the National Association of Independent Schools Conference held in Philadelphia in 2013 (Cost: $170 per teacher). Upper school student Tessa Kuhn, edited a short film to support this cause. Watch the three minute movie here.
If you did not get a chance to support this effort at the event, you can do so here. We will continue to collect funds until spring break. We offer our sincere thanks to the many families who donated a total of $6,890 at the auction, to get this fund started. Join us in honoring our faculty by making a gift in any amount.
