Throw a Pool Party at FSS for 20 swimmers
Sometimes the best birthday Parties are right here at school. The package includes Free Swim for 1.5 hours with two certified lifeguards and use of the Dining Hall for 1.5 hours.(If you would like to have more swimmers you will be charged for an additional lifeguard per 10 students.)
5 Days of Free Parking in the FSS Parking Lot
You pick the days, we’ll clear the spot.
Drive through the car line and right into the head of school parking spot. It's yours for the day (7:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m.). Choose five days of parking during the month of May 2016. To be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. If you don't need five days give one or two to your favorite teacher.
One Day of Fun Week
Fun week schedule is not out yet, but it will be soon. It’s guaranteed that you'll want to try all of the activities and field trips the back desk has in store for you! Winning bidder will take their pick, and enjoy one complimentary day of Fun Week.
Plan FSS Lunch Menu for a Week
Ravioli on Monday? Roasted Chicken on Friday? Five days of school means five favorite lunches to choose! One lucky student will meet with Evan Jacobsen, FSS Dining Hall Manager, to plan the lunch menu for a whole school week in May.

Parkway Renaissance with LS Leadership Dave Younkin and Amy Segel
The Parkway is the perfect place for a Renaissance-like adventure with teacher Dave and Teacher Amy. Your child and three others will join our lower school leaders in a lovely mix of activities that will awaken their creativity and perhaps uncover a new passion. As we explore the Parkway, we will draw, paint, write, read Parkway poems, stop for a treat, and even recite poetry! 2 1/2 hours after school or on a Saturday morning. To occur by the end of May.
Bookstore Browsing with LS Learning Specialist Angela Marks
What could be nicer on a spring day than an after-school stroll to the Rittenhouse Square Barnes & Noble? Once there, Tr. Angela and your child can browse the shelves, comparing old favorite books and discovering exciting new stories. Your child gets to select one special book to bring home (and of course he or she will want to preview it over a treat in the cafe before the afternoon ends!)
Gourd Painting with LS Mandarin Teacher Faye Wei
Your child and a friend will join Tr. Faye in her classroom after school for a special option, Gourd Painting! Learn about this unique Chinese art form while making a fantastic keepsake to bring home! (Activity limited to 3rd and 4th graders.)
Chilean Brunch in Rittenhouse with LS Spanish Teacher Francoise Thenoux
Que plan mas Fabuloso! One second, third or fourth-grade student (and a friend) can enjoy a late brunch of deliciosas Empanadas, mates and alfajores with Tr. Francoise at Jezabel's Argentinian café in Rittenhouse Can you say fiesta brunch?

Tr. Dan, our resident voiceover artist extraordinaire, gives your child's favorite storybook the star treatment, with a special introduction for your child! Spring Bird Walk and Nature Ramble with LS Science Teacher Bob McCarthy
During the month of May, many species of migratory songbirds either pass through, or return to, our area from their winter residences in the south (some birds travel to our area from as far away as South America!). The Andorra Natural Area in Fairmount Park is an ideal location to observe this seasonal migration, especially when lower school science teacher, Tr. Bob, is your bird/nature guide! Participants: Up to 3 individuals, kindergarten to adult. This hike MUST be scheduled for either Saturday morning 5/6 or 5/13, or Sunday morning 5/7.

What's behind the secret door in the basement? Where is the school's tractor?
Wait a minute - the school has a tractor? Yes! And there are SECRET things behind those doors. Bid on a tour with Tr. Patti and Ted as they take your children exploring the nether regions of the school. After opening all of those doors and seeing what is inside, Ted and Patti will take your child for a ride on the tractor! This is a must have for any FSS child and up to 3 friends.

You and a friend will share an afternoon with Trs. Katie and Stefanie. Walk to ice cream in Rittenhouse, travel to chinatown for dumplings, seek out the Cherry street playground. Plan an adventure with Katie and Stefanie and enjoy!
FIRST GRADE
AM Animals with First Grade’s Anne Thomforde-Thomas
Your child will join Tr. Anne before school (7:30 - 8 on a Thursday) to spend one-on-one time with her room's esteemed residents: Iggy the iguana, Corny the cornsnake, Oreo and Violette the guinea pigs, with a surprise one day visit from Tederina (6 pounds) and Skipperdee (fifty pounds) the sulcata tortoises. Learn the animals’ personalities, habits, and possibly their favorite breakfast items!
Afternoon desert in Chinatown with First Grade Teacher Sarah Lee
Choose a day after school for you and a friend to walk to Chinatown with Tr. Sara. You will go at Ice Land Philly for a treat!!
Make A Book Returns!!- Create an original work of literature and art with Tr. Sara D. & Tr. Frankie
Work with teachers Tr. Sara D. & Tr. Frankie to brainstorm outline and write a book complete with illustrations.
Winning bidder will receive one printed hardbound copy of the book. Other copies of the book will be distributed to Tr. Sara and Tr. Frankie and the Lower School's Wallace Library.
